Minutes of 2022 AGM
Action still required about a plaque for Pete.
Action: Research plaque cost.
Action: Request permission from Sidmouth CC to position the plaque on the scorebox.
Action: Once ready contact Val to organise a day to commemorate Pete and fit plaque.
Kenny Clay has said he will sort this out.
NPCC Constitution
- Does the constitution correctly reflect the position of President. Is this a position electing each year? It was stated that the position of President is a lifelong honorary position that caries with it a lifelong membership at The Club.
Captain's reports
Kenny Clay said he was happy for a good season, he was also delighted with the weather this year and hoped for more of the same this season. Thanked Richard for sorting out the Clubs fixtures.
Treasurer's report
Current balance is £2815. I guess some of it includes deposits. (Zac will have a better idea of this) main money out this year includes pitch £350 insurance £300ish website £125ish and cricket balls £200ish. Might be worth any new treasurer starting a new business account with the bank they are with, transferring all money across and getting online banking that way. £100 of that £2815 is Kenny Clay’s tour deposit (to be used as subs/match fees) and I believe roughly £255 is reserved for a new mower, if/when needed.
Note from club Secretary: pitch hire fees were discussed and Chris Burhop has said no meeting has been scheduled to propose any fee changes for the season ahead. Upon looking through last seasons minutes it looks like a £20 per match fee was set for a two year period before review, so, no increase should happen this season anyway.
Annual membership fees.
- Senior membership subscription = £30
- Junior membership subscription = £20
Sunday match fees
- Senior fee = £5
- Junior & concessions playing fee = £3
20/20 match fees
- Senior fee = £3
- Junior & concessions playing fee = £2
All present voted in favour that all fees will stay the same for this year.
A discussion was had about the return of tea’s, all were in favour of this and with various choices to make this happen it was agreed the committee would decide the best course of action.
Fixture Secretary's report
Richard has said so far we have 11 Sunday games and 11 T20/evening games. He is still waiting to hear back from some clubs so this may change during the season.
Pre-season groundwork
Sunday 16th April 2023 – time to be decided later.
Sightscreens to be erected
Look into the possibility of a boundary Netting in front of the Pavilion during games. State of netting and legal assurances to be reviewed for this too.
- A request has been received from Chris Burhop regarding assistance to decorate the Pavilion changing rooms and erect some protective fencing. – All are happy to help to this, Chairman and Captain will have a look around to see what needs fixing/adding/improving and then liaise with Chris Burhop, all costs are to be covered by the Pavilion. Date and time will be announced at a later date.
Fundraising & Sponsorship
Ash Perram will take on sourcing sponsorship for the club, Antony Cox to hand over previous details.
A return of football cards for each game was agreed. Sonya has said she can sort this out.
Social activities
- 20th year – Secretary to find out ideas for any possible celebrations/fundraising.
Any other business
- Kit – Wicket Keeping kit needs to be replaced and gloves are now falling apart decent pads and a couple of pairs of keeping inner might also be a good idea. – Kenny Clay to look into this and then liaise with Treasurer.
- Possible problem with email on the website not sending properly.
Meeting closed at 1.05pm.
