Match report Newton Poppleford`s attempt to win some silverware fell agonisingly short in their Plate Final match against Feniton CC. Batting second they fell just 5 runs short in what was a highly entertaining game.
Newton had restricted Feniton to 109 and taken all their wickets in what was an inpressive bowling and fielding display.
Newton looked to be in with a chance of winning when they kept up with the run rate in the early stages but some smart feilding by Feniton eventually left Newton`s batsmen too much to do in the final over.
